The art of communication through touch

This class meets for an hour and a half, once a week, for 5 weeks.

Babies are immersed in touch for the first 9 months of their life, while in utero. They are born knowing that touch means safety and love. Continue to bond with your baby, while learning how babies communicate through cues, movements and touch. We will cover basic massage techniques to calm, relax, energize, and comfort your baby, as well as discuss parenting topics that are relevant to your life as a new parent. This class is a great way to start a lifetime of attached communication with your child.

The best time to start this class is sometime between 4/6 weeks after birth and crawling. If your baby was born premature, please ask your pediatrician when your baby should be in close contact with other babies and caregivers. Note: For families who have to keep their babies at home (premature, health reasons, etc) this class is offered as a one on one session in your home. There are 3 sessions, instead of 5, during a private class.
